Exhibiting Oceans in the UK Today

This Paul Mellon Centre funded workshop brought together a small group of curators to reflect on past exhibitions and present practices, critically evaluating this work and speculating on possibilities for developing this into the future. We discussed how past and present curatorial practices pertaining to oceans have been affected by pressing issues including climate crisis, decolonisation and interdisciplinary crossovers between art and science – all key features of this recent field of activity.
